On April 14, 2026, Ambassador Farid Talibov met with Kazunori Tanaka, Member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament, Representative of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Chairman of the Japan-Azerbaijan Friendship League.

During the meeting, a detailed exchange of views was held on the current state of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Japan and its future development prospects. During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on issues on the regional and international agenda, and reviewed the existing opportunities for the development of Azerbaijan-Japan relations in the field of parliamentary diplomacy, political dialogue and regional connections.
